CannaVerdict is an editorial awards and information website. Access does not create a right to nomination, review, publication, commercial cooperation or continued inclusion.
1. Scope and acceptance
These Terms of Service govern access to and use of CannaVerdict.com. By using the website, visitors agree to comply with these terms and applicable law. Visitors who do not agree should discontinue use.
CannaVerdict provides editorial information, industry-award results, category descriptions, winner profiles and external links. The website does not operate as a marketplace for cannabis, medicinal products or controlled substances.
2. Adult and lawful use
The website is intended for an adult professional audience. Visitors are responsible for complying with local laws, age restrictions, advertising rules, professional standards and cannabis regulations. Content must not be interpreted as permission to possess, purchase, sell, import, export, prescribe, promote or consume a regulated product unlawfully.
3. Award selection and editorial discretion
CannaVerdict independently identifies and evaluates candidates. There is no entitlement to nomination, review, inclusion, ranking, award, publication or continued publication. CannaVerdict may define, rename, combine, suspend or discontinue categories and may determine the timing, evidence base and scope of review.
Recognition reflects an editorial and expert-led assessment for the stated category and year. It is not scientific certification, accreditation, regulatory approval, laboratory verification, investment analysis, product-safety assurance, medical advice or a promise of future quality.
CannaVerdict may correct factual errors, update official links, clarify category wording, withdraw recognition or remove content where information was materially inaccurate, rights were infringed, legal risk arises or continued publication would be misleading.
4. No application or purchase right
Brands, companies and individuals cannot demand consideration, submit a binding application, purchase a nomination or guarantee an award. Event access, communication, hospitality, advertising, sponsorship or previous business contact does not create preferential treatment.
5. Commercial separation
Commercial discussions and editorial selection are intended to remain appropriately separated. A commercial relationship does not create a right to favourable coverage, ranking, continued recognition or removal of critical or corrective information.
6. Acceptable use
Visitors must not:
- interfere with website availability, security or normal operation;
- attempt unauthorised access to systems, source code, storage or administrative areas;
- introduce malware, malicious code, automated abuse or excessive traffic;
- scrape or harvest personal data unlawfully;
- impersonate CannaVerdict, a winner, contributor or another person;
- submit false legal notices, fraudulent correction requests or misleading rights claims;
- use content to imply a false endorsement, medical claim, certification or commercial relationship;
- systematically reproduce the winner database or editorial descriptions without permission or another lawful basis.
Reasonable search-engine indexing, ordinary browser access, factual citation and lawful linking are permitted.
7. Use of award names and winner references
A recipient may truthfully state the exact award category and year published by CannaVerdict. References must remain accurate, current and not materially misleading. A winner must not imply that the award covers unrelated products, jurisdictions, years or claims beyond the published recognition.
CannaVerdict logos, seals, badges and promotional assets may be used only under written permission or published brand guidelines. They may not be altered, recoloured, distorted, combined with other marks or used in a context likely to create confusion.
8. Intellectual property
Website text, layout, graphics, category descriptions, methodology language, databases, CannaVerdict branding and original media are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Third-party names, logos and images remain the property of their respective owners and are used for identification, editorial reporting or with permission where applicable.
9. User communications
Visitors who send information to CannaVerdict confirm that they are entitled to send it and that it is not knowingly unlawful, defamatory, fraudulent, infringing or malicious. CannaVerdict may retain communications where necessary to respond, verify a claim or protect legal interests.
10. External websites and official links
Winner profiles may link to official websites, social-media accounts or related third-party destinations. Links are provided for convenience and identification. CannaVerdict does not control or guarantee the accuracy, availability, security, legality, pricing, transactions or privacy practices of external services.
11. No professional advice
Website content is not legal, medical, pharmaceutical, financial, tax, regulatory or investment advice. Decisions should be based on qualified professional advice and current law in the relevant jurisdiction.
12. Availability, accuracy and liability
CannaVerdict seeks to maintain accurate and accessible content but does not guarantee uninterrupted availability, completeness, continued inclusion or freedom from technical errors. Content may change as public information, official links and industry circumstances evolve.
Nothing in these terms limits liability where limitation is prohibited by law, including liability for intentional misconduct, gross negligence, injury to life, body or health, fraudulent concealment or mandatory statutory liability. Subject to mandatory law, liability for simple negligence is limited to breaches of material obligations and foreseeable typical loss.
13. Indemnity for unlawful misuse
To the extent legally permitted, a visitor who unlawfully misuses the website, branding or award references is responsible for direct losses and reasonable third-party defence costs caused by that misuse.
14. Suspension and changes
CannaVerdict may modify, suspend or discontinue website functions, categories, profiles or content. These terms may be updated to reflect editorial, technical, operational or legal developments. The current version is identified by the date shown above.
15. Applicable law and disputes
Mandatory consumer protections and conflict-of-law rules remain unaffected. Questions or formal notices may be sent to info@cannaverdict.com.
16. Severability
If a provision is invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain effective to the extent permitted by law. The invalid provision is replaced by the applicable statutory rule.
